In an effort to help identify future potential, leading Indonesian law firm Makarim & Taira S, together with the largest law firm alliance Drew Network Asia (DNA), held the inaugural DNA Symposium in Indonesia.

On the same occasion, Chairman of Drew & Napier LLC, Jimmy Yim, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Makarim & Taira S as the organizer of the first DNA symposium outside Singapore. He also explained that Drew Network Asia (DNA) is a premium legal network formed by leading law firms in Southeast Asia. With more than 800 fee-earners and a total of 1,700 professionals in nine ASEAN countries, DNA operates as a “firm of firms” that provides integrated legal services across jurisdictions.

“This momentum is not just a discussion forum, but a concrete step to build trust, strengthen collaboration, and encourage sustainable economic growth in Indonesia and ASEAN,” he said.

Director of ASEAN Economic Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Adhyanti Sardanarini Wirajuda, said that in general, ASEAN’s economic progress is very good. ASEAN is a dynamic regional community in the global arena. ASEAN has a population of around 680 million people with a GDP of US$3.9 trillion. Economic cooperation between ASEAN member countries opens up investment opportunities. Moreover, Timor Leste has joined the ASEAN economic community. “The more opportunities open up, the wider they become,” she added.
